Objectives

The Mount Lawley Senior High School Council is formed with the fundamental purpose of enabling parents and members of the community to engage in activities that are in the best interests of students and will enhance the education provided by the school.

Meetings - To Inform, Seek Input, Give Approvals

School Council meets
in the Conference Room (upstairs) in the Main Administration Building of the school
from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
at least twice per term on Monday Evenings (or Tuesday if conflicting with a Public Holiday)
Typically these are the 3rd and 8th Mondays of the Term.

The School Council has 12 members consisting of 3 members from each of the following 4 sectors:

Further to this, the committee can also co-opt others for particular expertise.

A rotation policy has been established so that only half the elected members change each year.

The elections for parents, students and staff representatives are held at the start of each year.
